Elizabeth Nichols is a writer, director and cinematographer of both non-fiction and narrative films. She divides her time between New York City, where she is an MFA candidate at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and Tanzania, East Africa, where she works at Orkeeswa School. Elizabeth graduated from Harvard University in 2010 with a BA in History and Literature and History of Art and Architecture. She has received several awards and scholarships in support of her filmmaking, including the Princess Grace Award and a New York Women in Film and Television Scholarship. Recent short films include Wash Song (New Orleans Film Festival - Grand Jury Award Finalist) and P.S. 432 (Cannes Short Film Corner, Austin Film Festival, Lower East Side Film Festival - Best Live Action Short Film, Brooklyn Short Film Festival, Portland Film Festival, New York City Independent Film Festival, Denver Film Festival).
